Course content
The content of the course includes information and training in:
Interpret the Water UK classification scheme
Risk assess residual hazards
Recognise changing environments
Use and interpretation of gas monitors and recognize problem atmospheres
Understand the nature and occurrence of problem atmospheres
Use ancillary safety items – harness, ropes, winches and life lines
Use oxygen re-breather apparatus safely
Work in a safe system of work
React positively in an emergency situations.

Assessment / Certification
Candidates who successfully complete a written or oral test of knowledge of this subject and successfully complete the
practical exercise in the key skill areas will be awarded a City and Guilds certificate of post training competence.

Persons who are required to work in Water UK NC2, NC3, and NC4 Risk Assessed Confined Spaces.
