High Pressure Water Safety Awareness

Introduction
This is both a practical and classroom based course. The course is designed to give the delegates knowledge of a safe way in which to use the equipment. Anyone who is required to use high pressure water equipment or supervise operatives who use this equipment as part of their job role should attend this course.

Aims

By the end of the course all delegates will:

• Be able to operate the equipment without endangering themselves or others
  
• Understand the safety procedures when water jetting operations take place near a public highway
  
• Have a detailed knowledge of the Associations “Code of Practice, for the use of High Pressure Water Jetting Equipment”.
  Have a detailed knowledge of all the hazards associated with water jetting.
  
• Understand the control systems that are in use, including pressure safety relief devices.
  
• Carry out the preliminary checks on the equipment, start and stop it safely.
