Provision & Use of Work Equipment Regulations (PUWER) 1998
Introduction
The one-day course is intended to ensure that duty holders are able to comply with the full range of responsibilities
detailed in the regulations in a practical and cost effective manner.
Aims:
By the end of the course delegates will be able to:
- Understand current general legislation.
- To understand the requirements of PUWER 98 and appreciate the main changes from previous legislation.
- Gain a working knowledge of the main PUWER requirements. See how PUWER links into other key
requirements such as LOLER (Lifting Operations and Lifting Equipment Regulations 1998) and “Management”
- Regulations. Identify what action your organisation needs to take to comply with PUWER 98.
